Sad news
Spookie Boo passed away today.
:-(
He had been moving pretty slowly for the past couple of days, and not eating, and my mom knew it was time to take him in. She called me before and after the visit to the vet. She always used to complain about what a pesky whiny cat he was, but she's much sadder now than she expected to be.
Nobody in the family seems to be able to agree on exactly when we got Spookie, but we think it was about 16 years ago. He had a pretty good run.

sorry to hear about your cat. are you going to get another one?
Well, he was my parents' cat really -- he lived with them back in Ottawa. They have no immediate plans to get another cat as their respective living situations are kind of up in the air right now. I think there will be more cats in their future, eventually. I'd love to have a cat myself but I'm allergic!
i was allergic too ... hence the turtle ... eventually, that allergy passed; sorry to hear spookie passed, too. if there are any openings for cat ghosts out there, he would be a boo-in! have you ever thought of getting a hairless cat, like mr. bigglesworth? of course, then you'd have to be evil ...
